What About the Computer Game?
BC3K the computer game is really pretty irrelevant to the BC3K on-line flame war. It is funny to take a shot at the game every once in and while so, it's convenient that it is generally bad and buggy. I did try playing the game once. The user interface was one of the absolute worst I've ever seen. It reminded me of the DOS games that came out after mice were first introduced. Where all of the design and most of the development was done without a mouse in mind. They just weren't sure what to do with the mouse but wanted to say on the box that it was supported. Anyway, here are the three reviews of BC3K the computer game that I agree with most.

Well BCM is out. I haven't bothered downloading the demo but the reports seem to indicate that it is the same game as BC3K with some new features added on. The reviews do seem a little better than BC3K 2.0, although there seems to have been very few reviews done on BCM. Here's a few reviews.

My bottom line opinion of the game is that there are too many good games out there. Most people seem to not like it very much, although a small percentage finds it enjoyable. If you're just curious what all the flak is about then, download the free version and punish yourself for free rather than paying for your torture. The free version is BC3K 2.09 which is close to BCM. BCM has a few bugs added and has graphics updated to about 1997 or 1998. BCM has some additional play modes that apparently aren't much fun like a first person shooter mode.
