The title alone is enough to tell anybody with any kind of clue that it's crap - "AI and the Art of Computerized Thinking"!!! That is not the title of anything which comes close to being a real, credible PhD thesis. Does it matter? Probably not, as far as his game goes, or his ability as a developer. The world is full of CS PhD's who are lame developers. That's not what a PhD is for; it's not supposed to be some job-qualification for anything outside academia. Rather, it's an indication that the holder has undertaken endeavors in the open, peer-reviewed scholarly world in such a manner and at a sufficient level of originality for him/her to be recognized as a participant. DS gives absolutely no indication of ever having been involved in such a process; he gives every impression of being completely ignorant of its existence. Who cares? I do, a little bit, because I spent 4 1/2 years getting mine & I am reasonably proud of it. It pisses me off to a certain extent to see some ridiculous little twat claiming membership in a community to which he absolutely does not belong, whether or not he has a piece of paper with "PhD" on it. Huffman is without doubt an extremely unusual person but I believe he cares because of some idea of justice, or at least that is the impression I get. Why do you care? Andrew W.
